For those of you who can’t live without facebook on your BlackBerry SmartPhone then you’ll be pleased to learn version 3.0 is in beta now.

As for the extra features you will have access to on your BlackBerry SmartPhone, I will expand on them below, some depend on how much you use facebook and other just link.

The first most obvious connection is facebook as a BBM connected app, with the focus BlackBerry has been putting on late on BBM, there is no wonder that this link has now been made and you can update or share via facebook to BBM.

Facebook publisher, which allows Page admins to publish content directly to users’ streams and that Page’s fans can publish content directly on a Page through Publisher, where those posts then get published into their streams for their friends and other fans to see.

The UI (User Interface) has been improved with some discoverability modifications, these are best found by playing around on the device, so I will not spoil the surprise.

There are some improved facebook notifications, which as ever link back directly into your BlackBerry SmartPhone message inbox.  Along with some user friendly error message, making you feel like facebook shares your pain

I like the the main log in screen, as it gives you easy and direct access to the top three things I do on facebook, upload a picture, post a status or Check in; these are all displayed in a quick access fashion, just nice and simple.  I will come back to you when the beta is going to be on general release for your BlackBerry SmartPhone, so you too can enjoy the new features, as this is not just a consumer tool, but we find a lot of business mobile users doing business on facebook.
