Don’t risk a high data bill on you’re business mobile
June 14, 2012Allowing one of your business mobile users to have a device without a data bolt on, can seriously damage your bottom line.
Instead of paying £8.33 for a 1GB SmartPhone bolt on for their business mobile, we are still seeing clients running up data bills into the thousands, with the common theme being, they didn’t expect their user to swap the sim into their own SmartPhone.
Of course different companies deal with this in different ways; some simply re-charge the user for this and see it as abuse; some will come back to us and we negotiate with the network to get a kind of good-will credit; and some wake up to the fact that if they can get more users accessing their email and business info in the field, they can gain far more in efficiencies than the cost of a data bolt on.
The big warning here, is not to shy away from the fact that more and more business mobile users are wanting and in some cases have a real need, to access their email and core business info whilst in the field.
So instead of shying away from this, bring us in to assess and appraise what you’re real business needs are and let us put together a road-map, for how you can embrace this technology and not end up with ‘bill shock’ and a situation of conflict; especially when the user generally is just trying to do their job.
Don’t get caught up with what can be a £3,000 a month excessive data charge and that is in the UK..!
