TU GO app for O2 update now available

The TU GO app for O2 has now been updated offering new features and functionality to users.

The TU GO app for O2 allows all pay monthly customers to make and receive calls and text messages on a range of other devices, meaning they are no longer tied to their mobile handset.

The application is free to download and any calls or texts made via the TU GO app for O2 are taken out of the user’s existing O2 bundle of allowance. This means that no costs are incurred when using other devices. Calls and texts can be made to people outside of O2, even if they do not have the app downloaded on their phone. The contacts will notice no difference, as the calls, text and voicemails will still be made over the O2 network.

The features included in the update are:
Added choice for customers
With TU Go’s latest updates, users can now choose how they want to use it. Whether that is being able to turn SMS notifications on and off whenever they like, choosing when they want the app to divert calls to voicemail or the ability to log out of TU Go on other devices remotely, the updated version gives complete control.

Clever connectivity
TU GO app for O2 comes with a Wi-Fi priority switch. That means when users are on a Wi-Fi network incoming calls will try to connect via TU Go first. And with over 10,000 O2 Wifi hotspots around the country, there won’t be many occasions when users are too far away from fast, free public wifi.

Bug fixes
TU GO app for O2 has now had many of its bugs fixed, including an issue with battery life that was reported by several users.

The TU GO app for O2 update is now available and can be downloaded now.
